2015 Conferences & Seminars

NYCAVMA Annual Spring Conference:

The NYCAVMA hosted Dr. Are Thoresen's seminar April 16th - April 19th 2015 in Ellicotville NY.  Topics covered included Dr. Thoresen’s personal approach to: Pulse Diagnosis, Cancer Therapy, Treatment of the Deficiency, Western Herbs, Development of Sensitivity, and Basic Osteopathy. Classes consisted of morning lectures and afternoon wet labs with patients.

Here is the essence of the course in Dr. Are Thoresen’s own words:

“This course will put a greater emphasis on the deeper aspects of the pulse, and the participants will be led to the point where they understand that the pulse diagnosis is a diagnostic method that can penetrate space and time, flesh and bone, and lead the therapist into the realms of spirit, where the cause of the disease reveals themselves.”

“Next, this course will teach the participants to use this information, acquired through the pulse, to treat the patients with one needle, one herb or one osteopathic technique.”

The foundation of this course was his entire book (Alternative and Complementary Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Are Simeon Thoresen, ISBN 82-994172-2-8), available at Amazon at very low cost.

Course Overview:
  • Day 1: Understanding Disease
  • Day 2: The Pulse
  • Day 3-4: Understanding the Therapy
