Homeosiniatry is defined as a medical methodology that combines homeopathy and acupuncture; "Homeo" stands for Homeopathy and "Siniatry" for Sinology, the study of Chinese culture (Dr. Roger de La Fuye, 1947).
In diverse sections of his extensive work, Dr. Christian Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy (1756 – 1843) mentioned explicitly "ill points" ("die kranken punkte"), that if the remedy is chosen well, it touches all the ill points in a curative way and they will disappear in "a wonderful way " (e.g. "Organon of Medicine" # 270 etc). He decided not to include the pin-point digital palpation (in order to find the sensitive points) as part of the homeopathic diagnostic process.
At the same time period, Johann Gottfried Rademacher (1772-1850), another well-known German M.D., was involved deeply in both areas, especially in the process of finding the diagnosis according to the palpation method.
The Weihe family, three generations of German M.D and Homeopaths, and students of both Hahnemann and Rademacher, began a century’s effort to match the physical findings according to Dr. Rademacher on one hand, with the proper homeopathic remedies according to Dr. Hahnemann. Dr. August Weihe Jr (1840-1896), of the 3rd Weihe generation, concluded: "Whenever a particular homeopathic drug picture was indicated, certain points on the surface of the patient’s body were especially sensitive to digital pressure. If we administrated the individual appropriate remedy, these points lost their sensitivity". He found 270 points that were assigned to specific homeopathic symptom complexes, but used them only to support (objective verification) his selection of remedies for therapy (1886).
Years later (1947), Dr. Roger de La Fuye, a French acupuncturist and homeopath, discovered that most of Weihe’s points coincided exactly with acupoints, and not only had precisely identical locations, but also affected the same symptomatology. De La Fuye was the first doctor to treat his patients with parallel therapy, using needle acupuncture and corresponding homeopathic remedies (orally). That combination gave better clinical results with his patients as compared to therapy with each modality separately. De La Fuye continued his study, adding to Weihe’s points. Homeosiniatry uses 482 points, 434 on Chinese meridians and 48 extra points. The current practice of homeosiniatry is to inject sterile homeopathic remedies (diluted and potentized in 0.9% saline) into acupoints.

- it gives a more rapid onset of therapeutic action (a turbo-effect);
- acupoint injection triggers supplementary energetic reactions;
- myofascial trigger point injection triggers additional neuromuscular reactions;
- because the remedy bypasses the gastrointestinal system and LV, it avoids the "first-pass effect";
- segmental injections (e.g. on the abdomen for the LV, on the thorax for the bronchi) trigger additional segmental reactions;
- one may inject other pharmaceuticals (Lidocaine, B-12 etc), as needed;
- it ensures that the animal gets 100% of the prescribed remedy;
- injection is fast for both doctor and patient;
- it is inexpensive and therefore professionally advantageous.
When to inject?:
- as a part of the concept of modern homeosiniatry;
- when oral homeopathic remedy is insufficient to achieve improvement;
- when other local therapeutic efforts (acupuncture/pressure, homeopathic creams, osteopathy, physiotherapy, injections of allopathic remedies, surgery etc) have failed to improve the animal’s condition;
- when other local efforts must be stopped because of major side effects (e.g. corticosteroids);
- when one wants to combine homeopathic injections with other strategies (surgery, allopathic remedies, phyotherapy, physiotherapy).

- trigger points
- reflex zones
- local injections, e.g. into affected muscles, in and around joints, connective tissue, ligaments, beside nerves and in blood vessels
Is homeopathic injection safe?:
- there are safe products from reliable companies that apply quality control to the company and products with modern techniques for ampoule preparation;
- one must use safe injection techniques, respect anatomy and sterility, and use the correct needles and syringes;
- one must know the indications and contra-indications of these injections and recognize the limits of homeopathic products;
- one must know the dangers of not using an essential conventional treatment.
What dosage is to be injected into the animal?:
- Reputable companies supply the veterinarian with a dosage table relating to the species, its age, weight etc.
- Do not exceed the total quantity of remedy for the species.
- For prolonged pressure stimulation to acupoints, first inject the remedy intradermally to form an intracutanous wheal (diameter 0.1-1.0 cm); then inject the rest of the remedy subcutaneously, and bi-laterally if needed.
- Due to different laws and regulatory restrictions in certain countries, doctors may perform routine acupuncture, and give the recommended homeopathic remedies orally (in the way of "orthodox homeosiniatry").
- Practitioners should note the names and composition of the remedies, as they may differ somewhat from one location to another.
How does one select the proper remedy to be injected?:
